Job Description:
Hands-on experience in Unix/Linux shell scripting within the banking or financial services industry.
Develop, enhance, and maintain shell scripts to automate routine tasks, system administration processes, and data processing workflows in the banking domain.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, database administrators, and application developers, to gather requirements and understand business needs.
Design and implement efficient, scalable, and reliable shell scripts to automate various banking operations, such as data transfers, file processing, system monitoring, and report generation.
Troubleshoot and debug existing shell scripts to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal impact on critical banking systems and processes.
Monitor script execution and performance, proactively identify bottlenecks, and propose optimizations to improve efficiency and reliability.
Maintain documentation for shell scripts, including design specifications, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Unix/Linux shell scripting within the banking or financial services industry.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, or Python.
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and command-line utilities.
- Familiarity with banking systems, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with automation tools and frameworks, such as CA Workload Automation Tool or Control-M.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24×7 environment with on-call rotation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
